Emei Linji Qigong

Cultivating Extraordinary Health, Vital Energy, and Enlightenment

I practice a wide variety of Emei Qi Gong techniques, which are more commonly called Energy Healing, and combine them according to my patient's needs. These needs can be for relief of chronic  physical conditions, or for general health benefits.

Qi Gong or Energy Healing is the basis for TCM treatment modalities. Moving and balancing the energy is the basis for healing in TCM. These techniques are used during my Acupuncture and Massage treatments to promote their effectiveness and bring about a long lasting healing response. I incorporate these techniques in my practice as a fundamental principle in my treatment methods.

External Qigong Effective in Treating Symptoms of PMS

From AcupunctureToday.com
Full article http://www.acupuncturetoday.com/archives2004/nov/11qigong.html

Surveys estimate that between 30 percent and 90 percent of all women have suffered from premenstrual syndrome, or PMS, at some point in their lives. PMS is characterized by a variety of physical and emotional symptoms that appear during the week before menstruation and continue for about a week afterwards. Among the negative effects associated with PMS are pain, water retention, weight gain, changes in sleep patterns, and general irritability. From a traditional Chinese medicine perspective, the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome may be attributed to an impeded flow of qi caused by stagnation or blockages in the body, leading to irregular menstrual flow and disharmony between qi and blood.

According to a 2004 study in Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, a drugless intervention that may provide relief from PMS is external qigong. In external qigong, a trained practitioner directs his or her own qi outward, with the intention of helping patients clear blockages, remove negative qi and balance the flow of qi in the body, thus relieving pain and helping the body to rid itself of certain diseases. In a recent study published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, scientists in South Korea tested the theory that external qigong could reduce or alleviate the effects of PMS in young women. Their research suggests that qigong can improve many of the symptoms associated with PMS, and that it may work as well as other, more traditional methods of relief.
